Homework is simply draining: it takes up astronomical amounts of time, willpower, discipline and energy in a lot of instances, because it can, and does, pile up extraordinarily quickly. Maybe these are considered good things to learn for later in life, willpower and all that, but I believe if a teacher is a good teacher, these traits can be taught, and learned, during the many hours of school.
Another good thing is that homework brings teachers and parents closer together. When parents supervise and help their children with regular assignments, they get a clear understanding of their school, education, progress, etc. Importance of Doing Your Homework Why is homework important? In this case my homework took 3 hours instead of 1 and a half. If we have to have homework it should at least be a little fun or entertaining. Then we might have a little bit of time to play. Also homework can take away from time you could be spending outdoors. Homework can take away from time to play. You need time for doing activities.
Homework (or home learning, or “extended learning” as we relabelled it at Huntington) is seemingly most effective when it involves practice or rehearsal of subject matter already taught. Students should not typically be exposed to new material for their home learning, unless they are judged more expert learners.
The school of thought that are against giving homework believes that It affects the family time as it puts unnecessary stress on students. Pressure of completing the task in time is very stressful for students. It reduces the quality time that can be spent with their families.
We should ban homework. If one thing happens in 2015, it should be a concerted campaign to eradicate this illogical, damaging, ass-paining institution once and for all. It is an invention.
If a second-grader brings home two hours of homework, that’s not good. If an 11th-grader does five hours, that’s too much. The amount of homework kids bring home generally does not diverge.
